What is the Pause feature?

The Pause feature allows you to insert a pause of a customized duration within your text. This helps create natural breaks in the speech, making it easier to understand and more engaging.

You can edit the pause to a new value. Please ensure the pause is written in the correct syntax [pause Xs]:

  • X is the number of seconds.

  • Maxium value is 10 seconds (10s).

How to use

There are 3 ways to add a pause:

1. Add Pause from Toolbar

1.1. Highlight the Text

Highlight the portion of text where you want to add a pause. A toolbar will appear above or near the selected text.

1.2. Hover Pause option

Hover over the Pause option in the toolbar. A dropdown menu will appear with various predefined pause durations.

1.3. Select the Pause duration

From the dropdown, select the desired pause duration. The options might include values such as:

  • Short Pause: (e.g., 0.5 seconds)
    โ€‹

  • Medium Pause: (e.g., 1 second)
    โ€‹

  • Long Pause: (e.g., 2 seconds)

3. Add Pause from Recent section

After adding a pause, buttons with the most recent pause values will appear in the Recent section. You can quickly add pauses using these buttons.

A maximum of 7 buttons will be displayed; if exceeded, the oldest values will be removed to make room for the newest ones.

You can also click the Pen icon to delete these recent buttons.

When adjusting the Tone, the Speed or Pitch values will also appear as buttons in Recent section.
