In the MicMonster editor, each text block is assigned a specific voice. The Add Voice Option feature allows you to create a list of preferred voices directly accessible from a text block's dropdown menu.
This makes it much faster to switch between your favorite voices for that specific block without needing to browse the full voice library each time.
How it Works:
Locate the Voice Avatar: Go to the text block you want to work with in the editor. You'll see a small circular avatar representing the currently assigned voice to the left of the text block.
Click the Voice Avatar: Click on this avatar. A dropdown menu will appear.
Understanding the Dropdown:
Voice List: Initially, this section only shows the voice currently active for this block. As you add voice options, they will appear here.
Other Options: Below the Voice List, you'll find two buttons:
Change voice: Use this to immediately replace the current voice of the block with a different one.
Add voice option: Use this to add more voices to the 'Voice List' section of this dropdown for quick selection later.
Add a Voice Option: Click the Add voice option button.
Select a Voice: The 'Select voice' modal (popup window) will open. Here you can browse, filter, search for, and preview all available voices. Click on the voice you want to add as an option.
Apply Your Choice: Once you've selected the desired voice in the modal, click the Apply button.
Check the Dropdown: Now, if you click the voice avatar for that same text block again, you will see the voice you just added listed under the 'Voice List' section, along with the original voice.
Repeat (Optional): You can repeat steps 4-6 to add more voice options to the list for that specific block.
Using Your Added Voice Options:
Once you have added voice options to a block's dropdown:
Simply click the voice avatar for that block.
Click directly on any voice listed in the 'Voice List' section.
The voice for that specific text block will instantly change to the one you selected from the list.
Key Difference:
Add voice option: Adds a voice to the dropdown's quick-access list without changing the block's current voice immediately.
Change voice: Immediately replaces the block's current voice with a new selection.
This feature helps streamline your workflow, especially when experimenting with different voices or needing quick access to a set of preferred voices for specific parts of your script.
