Common causes and fixes
If your voice isn't generating, previewing, or downloading, one of the following is usually the cause:
1. You've reached your character limit
The most common reason. Each plan includes a monthly character quota. When it runs out, voice generation is blocked until your quota resets.
How to check: Look for the message "You reached the character limit — Your remaining characters limit is 0" in the editor.
Fix:
Wait for your quota to reset at the start of your next billing cycle, or
Upgrade to a higher plan for more characters

2. Temporary server issue
Occasionally, MicMonster's generation servers may experience brief interruptions. This typically resolves within a few minutes.
Fix:
Wait 5–10 minutes and try again
Refresh the page and re-attempt generation
If the issue persists for more than 30 minutes, contact support
3. Browser or cache issue
An outdated cache can prevent the editor from loading correctly, causing preview and generation to fail silently.
Fix:
Hard refresh:
Ctrl + Shift + R(Windows) or⌘ + Shift + R(Mac)Try opening MicMonster in an Incognito / Private window
Try a different browser (Chrome is recommended)
4. Script contains unsupported characters
Some special characters, symbols, or emojis can cause voice generation to fail for certain voices or languages.
Fix:
Remove or replace any special symbols in your script
Test with a short, simple sentence first to confirm the voice itself works
If only one block fails, try splitting it into smaller sections
5. The Listen / Preview function doesn't work
The Preview (Listen) function sometimes fails while the full Generate & Download still works.
Fix:
Try the full Generate button instead of Listen
Refresh the page and try Preview again
If Preview consistently fails but Download works, your audio is still being generated correctly
